Automated training to hold still

What is it about?

How do you get a monkey to hold still? We tried to automate a procedure for providing larger rewards to animals the longer they held still. Arnold Heidbreder provided the hardware and software know-how, and Brad and Audrey did the training sessions.

Why is it important?

Dr. Miller wrote the first draft of this paper some time ago, so some of the technology is a little dated, but we hope it may be useful to other investigators.
