Why is it important?

User friendly information is a term that is widely used and various publications have been produced to enable people who cannot read to gain information and insight into the subject matter. It is therefore crucial that we evaluate the resources available to ensure they are relating the information in the right format.

Perspectives

The various publications of user friendly information do not appear to be as beneficial as originally thought. This exploratory study found that more often than not service users misinterpret the information from the various pictures/ photo symbols used in publications which i turn can create anxiety and fear in services users.
