What is it about?

This article shares the findings of an audit that was conducted with people with learning disability who have epilepsy to find out if they felt their needs were been met whilst also exploring where the gaps existed in services.

Why is it important?

Epilepsy is a condition that is prevalent in learning disabilities and as a service we want to find out what people felt both about their condition and the services.

Perspectives

This project revealed the gaps in services for people with learning disabilities who have epilepsy alongside the issues that present for their carers and families. the findings helped us to develop a pathway for epilepsy in meeting this need.
