Why is it important?

The use of immunotherapy agents in cancer is increasing. Nurse-Led services ithin this specialised field are uncommon given the complexities when identifying and managing toxicities. The findings within the article prove that this group of patients can safely be assessed for treatment over the telephone.

Perspectives

Given the success of this service, I am keen to share my experience. The Nurse-Led Telephone Assessment Service has now evolved to include newer immunotherapy agents with scope to include eHNA tools to shape consultations.
