I am the translator. I have worked with Bruno Bara on other books. The method employed involves much hard work but is extremely rewarding: I translate and comment the translaton, querying what Bruno has written when I fail to understand or have more than one interpretation. Bruno, whose good knowledge of English makes this kind of cooperation possible, clarifies his position, accepting or rejecting my alternatives, clarifying where necessasry, accepting innovative suggestions on my part or offering his own translational solutions. This method of working shows just how complex a process communication is. Often, we believe we have been more than crystal clear, only to discover that others disagree - they 'misinterpret' or furnish alternative interpretations to what we believed we were communicating, or declare they do not understand. This method thus helps the writer to be clearer and more precise in expressing his thoughts.
