What is it about?
Connecting mTBI/concussion/brain injury over several scientific and medical sciences to help to understand this problem....and to guide further research in helping our brain injured patients.....by studying the immune response and cytokine molecular biology that is mediated by beta blockade.

Why is it important?
The use of beta blockers[both beta1 & beta2 blocker --[-NOT beta 1 blocking alone!] could be very useful in supportiung the re-arming of macrophages to fight infection . Sepsis is not ameliorated by beta blockade.
Perspectives
Using a beta1 and beta2 blocker[combo -both receptor sites!] may be useful in treating immune supprressed infections, including immune suppression from mTBI etc.
