What is it about?
We surveyed 300 undergraduate physical therapy students from five institutes in Peshawar using the 10-item Perceived Stress Scale. Seventy-two percent had moderate stress, 23.3% had high stress and 4.7% had low stress. Female students reported significantly higher stress scores than male students.

Why is it important?
Persistent stress can affect wellbeing, learning and academic performance. Identifying its scale and the groups most affected can help universities design better student support, coping-skills programmes and further research into the causes of stress.
Perspectives
From my perspective, this work matters because Persistent stress can affect wellbeing, learning and academic performance. I hope the findings support further research and informed, evidence-based decisions.
