What is it about?

In the article, I discuss the two volume translation history published in Finland in 2007 by an interdisciplinary team: the history of the project, the contents, and also the problems and constraints of the task.

Why is it important?

Translation history is part of general history, of literary, linguistic and political history. It is important to ask ourselves what and how this kind of history is written and who it is written for. Interdisciplinarity is a buzzword, but how does it function in practice?
