Why is it important?
The developed bio based polymeric blend membrane can be used for a dual purpose as battery separator and ions separation from water. These aspects of our product are unique and hence patentable.
Perspectives
Writing this article was a great pleasure as it has co-authors from Sweden with whom I have had long standing collaborations. This article also lead to an exploration of a fascinating research area and ultimately to a greater involvement in the bio based polymeric materials research and their potential dual purpose applications.
