What is it about?
Durum wheat genotype Trinakria showed high degree of resistance to leaf rust disease. Genetic analysis showed a single dominant gene for leaf rust resistance which was mapped on the short arm of 5B chromosome and Xgwm234 was the closest marker at a distance of 6.3cM.
