What is it about?

Both medical and dental students are in a stressful state due their course of study. We compared stressors, cognitive functions and performance in terms of marks obtained in their entrance examination. And, studied correlation among the outcome parameters; cognitive functions, stressors and marks obtained in the entrance examination.

Why is it important?

Our findings show that students with high cognitive function have low academic related stress.

Writing this article was a great pleasure to me. I am one of the co-authors and co-supervisors of this research work. I hope this article helps in understanding for which students can easily bear the medical teaching-learning stress and can do well, and which students find difficulty based on their marks obtained in entrance examination and cognitive functions
