South Africa is a water scarce country and has has been hit by the most severe drought ever. We show the extent to which this drought has negatively affected the economy.

Why is it important?

Based on the findings, it is important for the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF) to engage in private public partnerships so as to align its post drought recovery plans.
