Care of postpartum mothers from the health care provider's perspective - ie the Midwives Majority of Midwives stated that the care they provide to postpartum mothers who experience complications of labour was not comprehensive and satisfactory. They cited a number of reasons which are: shortage of staff, materials to use etc

Why is it important?
This article is about the care of postpartum mothers who experienced complications of labour at the University Teaching hospital in Zambia. Many times Health care providers are not given an opportunity to gauge their own care they provide to the mothers but this article has given them the opportunity to do so.
Perspectives
The study highlighted a number of issues which sometimes are missed out when clients are asked to measure the care they receive from Midwives. There are a lot of things that need to be considered in order to provide quality care to mothers. In this case, midwives were given an opportunity.
