What is it about?
Review of the application of liquid chromatography electrochemical detection of benzodiazepines. Performance characteristics and mechanisms are discussed. Benzodiazepines are a very important class of drugs; including compounds such as Rohypnol and Valium. These are commonly prescribed and abused and are hence important in both pharmaceutical and forensic investigations. Electrochemical detection offers a number of advantages over UV in terms of sensitivity and selectivity.
