Why is it important?
First-time donors are of great importance because they represented the continuation of blood supply. Their conversion into repeat donors is easier to achieve than recruiting people who have never donated.
Perspectives
Strategies to encourage blood donors to return to donate more frequently, to create the right environment and make the process of giving blood a good experience, may play an important role to maintain an adequate blood supply.
