What is it about?

Knowledge of water and sanitation hygiene among the population of urban slums of Delhi, India. Additional water quality test using the H2S vials was performed.

There is an urgent need to develop family-centered educational programs that would enhance awareness about water treatment methods that are cost-effective and easily accessible.

Perspectives

This study presents the knowledge of urban poor living in the slum area of a major metropolitan city, there should be an intense and large-scale study conducted to ensure public health safety and policy action.
