What is it about?
This study explores how people in Chinese societies view "fit" between themselves and their work. Unlike Western ideas, Chinese workers emphasize harmony, life balance, growth, and purpose. Cultural values like Confucianism help explain these unique perspectives.

Why is it important?
Our study shows that HR practices should match Chinese culture. To improve employee fit, companies should reward good work, build teamwork and harmony, support work–family balance, and offer growth opportunities like mentoring and job rotation.
