What is it about?
Ayurveda the ancient system of medicine has its own ways to understand pathology. In this paper pathology of COVID19 in terms of ayurvedic paradigm of doshas is discussed. It is based on certain observations and overall pattern of the disease. It is hypothesized that COVID19 is a condition that in a complicated situation shows similarities with the complications of Herpes zoster. In this opinion paper, importance of Pitta/inflammation/heat component is believed to have a major role and management planned as per this principle can yield better results.

Why is it important?
Covid-19 is much more than a condition limited to one system of the body. It affects the core quality of the body, i.e. affecting Pitta & Vata, and leads to hemorrhages, severe inflammation, rise in CRP, etc.
Perspectives
This article gives a complete different perspective how ayurvedic pathology can be looked into especially in certain complexities of the diseases that are not mentioned in ancient ayurvedic texts.
