What is it about?
Micro and small enterprises are essential for local economies, but many of them face practical difficulties when trying to plan, make decisions and adapt to market changes. This study examines how these businesses use strategic management in their daily activities. It looks at how they access information, how managers and teams behave, how business skills are developed, how strategies are formulated and how different areas of the business work together. The study shows that many micro and small enterprises have difficulties in accessing useful information, involving employees in decisions and avoiding excessive centralization. In plain terms, the article shows that strategic management in small businesses depends on more than planning. It also depends on information, participation, internal skills and the ability to connect different parts of the organization.

Why is it important?
This work is relevant because micro and small enterprises have strong economic and social importance, but they often operate with limited resources, informal routines and highly centralized decisions. The article offers a practical diagnosis of the main weaknesses that affect strategic management in these businesses. Its findings can help entrepreneurs, consultants, business support institutions and policymakers design training, advisory services and management tools that are closer to the reality of small firms. The study also contributes to research by combining several dimensions of strategic management in the analysis of micro and small enterprises.
Perspectives
This publication reflects my interest in understanding how small businesses manage strategy under real organizational constraints. In many micro and small enterprises, strategic management is shaped by access to information, managerial routines, employee participation and the development of internal competences. The article suggests that improving strategy in these firms requires practical support for managers, clearer information flows and greater attention to the knowledge already present inside the organization.
