What is it about?
The aim of the current report was to examine the association between indices of oral health condition and cardiovascular disease in an adult Greek population.

Why is it important?
Periodontal disease (PD), gingivitis and periodontitis affect many people worldwide. PD and especially periodontitis is a chronic progressive inflammatory disease.
Perspectives
The current research indicated that oral health and, especially gingival inflammation, plaque accumulation and presence of bleeding on probing were associated with CVD and hypertension.
