What is it about?
Inclusion body myositis is the most common inflammatory myopathy after age 50. Unlike polymyositis and dermatomyositis, in which cardiac involvement is relatively common, current evidence indicates that inclusion body myositis is not associated with cardiac disease such as dilated cardiomyopathy.
