Self-medication poses a risk to the mother and a greater risk to the unborn child. Efforts to combat the practice are needed, and the information in our article is very necessary if such efforts are to succeed.
Perspectives
The paper highlights the need to educate women of childbearing age about the dangers of self-medication, especially during pregnancy, if the practice is to be combated.
