Why is it important?
It considers how utopian thinking and storytelling can help us imagine better futures after the COVID-19 pandemic through literature and audiovisual texts.
Perspectives
I hope this research help researchers and people understand how speculative and utopian thinking act as powerful tools for creating fair, and strong communities, especially in postcolonial contexts. I believe racialised utopian/dystopian narratives don't just criticize current power structures, but also offers ways forward for unity, justice, and sustainable futures.
