Why is it important?
The architects registration councils in several countries often recommend approved scale of fees for pricing architectural services. Anecdotal evidences however reveal that many architects adopt some other means to meet the needs of their clients. This study is an attempt to uncover those other pricing strategies.
Perspectives
This study reveals the preferences of architects on pricing design services and how these preferences vary with the ownership forms as well as ages of firms. It may be useful for upcoming architects to see what exists in practice, so that they can prepare their minds to use varied approaches for pricing. Which approach is most profitable however remains a question for another study
