Why is it important?
Yet CLIL (and similar approaches), if properly understood and used, should present ideal ways of focusing on language as a tool to access and share content knowledge across the curriculum. An educational institution’s context is a crucial factor for consideration when designing and implementing programs that integrate both language and content.
Perspectives
I hope that this editorial can shed some light on how to combine both content and language in the classroom, considering that many practitioners still believe that this is an unnecessary task. I enjoyed writing this piece since it provides a few examples as well links to other articles on integrating CLIL across the curriculum.
