What is it about?

Understanding Driver Behavior to Improve Road Safety Driver behavior plays a crucial role in road accidents, heavy traffic, and sudden braking. Many studies have explored the factors that influence how people drive, but there is still a need for a clear and structured analysis of these findings. Our research reviews past studies on driver behavior and organizes them into categories to better understand the key factors affecting driving. By examining 606 research papers from reputable sources, we identified 50 relevant studies and classified them into four main groups: reviews, experiments, frameworks, and other study types. This research highlights gaps in existing studies and suggests new directions for improving driver behavior recognition. Ultimately, our findings can help enhance road safety and inform future Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) developments.
