Exploring cases where websites disappear

What is it about?

Exploring reported instances of disappearing websites reveals that there are fewer cases than feared of sites where the material really has disappeared. We discuss some features shared by that those that have gone.

Why is it important?

Webarchiving and disappearing material is a great concern. not everything is picked up by the "internet archive" and similar services
