What is it about?

This article presents a hydrology course which deals with groundwater. It shows how specific concepts related to groundwater flow processes can be taught by linking lectures, practical (lab.) and field classes. We give concrete examples of lecture content, laboratory and field activities, which help students understand targeted concepts.

Why is it important?

Currently there are few examples of hydrology classes published online and accessible to professors and teaching assistants in universities. This article presents an example of hydrology class taught at the Master level. Its specific focus is groundwater flow processes, thus providing a new resource available to teachers. We hope that sharing our teaching experience and methodology to others would be useful.
