What is it about?

This paper explore the impact humour has on the therapeutic relationship between patients and nurses. The use of Narrative Inquiry gave the nurses an opportunity to express what they found to be the most vital part in the humoristic interaction between nurse and patient.

Why is it important?

Although it is not proven that humour improves your health, it is undoubtedly an underutilised tool for nurses to use in the therapeutic relationship. Humour has an ability to make us feel better and can create a feeling of belonging
