Is everything these days about projects?

What is it about?

This paper was written by three PM professors at Boston University, and draws on the innovative curriculum delivered in the BU Metropolitan College MSPM. The paper was originally presented at the PMI Research & Education Conference in Limerick, Ireland in 2012. This paper looks at an influential article by McDonald (2011) that suggests six forces that will be important for the future of management, and suggests that PM is also subject to these forces, and is well equipped to handle them. the McDonald paper is: McDonald, P. 2011, ‘It’s time for management version 2.0: Six forces redefining the future of modern management’, Futures, vol.43, 797–808. http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.futures.2011.05.001
