What is it about?

The narrative of Sodom-Mamre is compared to the activity of military drones and the overextension of national sovereignty in the modern nation state. The link between these is the terror produced when there is uncertainty and the nature of violence as licit (sanctioned but not ethical or legal) due to the strength of the fear of uncertainty. The theories used extend to political theory of Zygmunt Bauman, the Obama administration, Persian military activity in the latter part of the first millennia BCE and the idea of the subaltern.
