What is it about?
This study found that the 11-item Occupational Balance Questionnaire (OBQ11) is a reliable and valid way to measure occupational balance in adults with type 1 diabetes. Higher OBQ11 scores were linked with better diabetes self-management, fewer depressive symptoms, and greater positive well-being.

Why is it important?
Occupational balance is central to occupational therapy but is not routinely measured in many U.S. clinical settings. This study supports using the Occupational Balance Questionnaire (OBQ11) to help therapists assess occupational balance and better understand its relationship with health and well-being.
Perspectives
To be honest, I wrote this paper primarily because I'm a big fan of occupational balance. Hopefully other fans of OB find it useful.
