What is it about?

There is higher incidence of newly diagnosed diabetes in case of fatty liver disease patient. Asimmetric fatty liver patient presented to us without known diabetes evaluated here for detection of metabolic syndrome. And it is seen that more than 50% of patients having fatty liver Grade 2 are diabetic, and they were unaware of their condition.

Why is it important?

Early diagnosis of diabetes is important to reduce diabetic related complications in newly diagnosed patients.

Perspectives

Bring awareness in people about fatty liver disease diagnosed on ultrasonogram. Most of the patients as well as physicians are never take incidentally diagnosed fatty liver as important. And they are not treated accordingly.
