The role of rural blacksmithing in the economic structure of a feudal state

What is it about?

The study is based on the metallographic analysis of a large number of iron objects taken from archaeological sites of Ancient Rus’. The authors have come to the conclusion that the rural blacksmithing was an important component of the production sphere of Ancient Rus’ and had a significant contribution to the feudal economies.
