What is it about?

The paper examines the formation and current state of the activities of international or-ganizations in the field of professional development and training of electoral experts. The study is the first to reveal the research problem of studying the contribution of the international community to the training of personnel for electoral governance. The empirical sources of the study were data on the work of such international actors as the UNITAR, the EU, the Organization of American States, the Council of Europe, the International IDEA, and the ECES.

Why is it important?

The prerequisites and needs for the training of electoral experts for the needs of interna-tional organizations are revealed. The ideas about the staffing needs of international or-ganizations in electoral experts have been clarified. The features of approaches to the training of electoral experts in the practice of various international organizations are characterized. The most important international projects created to train electoral ex-perts, such as “BRIDGE”, “NEEDS”, “EODS”, were considered. The results of the study confirm that the international community has a priority in train-ing specialists for electoral governance, including for the national level.
