What is it about?
This book endeavors to bring different perspectives on empathy together to challenge the way we view the world and how we currently structure society. Empathy is widely recognized as being one of the greatest influences in building social interaction through its ability to motivate individuals to cooperate, to share resources and to help others . We conclude that in developing and cultivating empathy, we have the ability to change our social structures through a deeper awareness of how our actions affect each other. Empathy therefore has a transcendental role at a systems level.
