What is it about?
Non-governmental organizations play a very important role in decision making within the WTO. The decisions taken by the representatives of the governments participating in the WTO are, to a significant degree, influenced by various lobbies, such as organizations and unions of food producers, including trade unions. The trade unions active in an urbanized labor market had a significant influence on the decisions of governments, in the course of multilateral trade negotiations within GATT/WTO.
