The study tested the antibiotic resistance profiles of the Salmonella isolated from exotic and indigenous leafy green vegetables in Southern Ghana. Over 30% of the Salmonella isolates included in the study were found to be multi-drug resistant. Most isolates (81.8%) were resistant to sulfisoxazole. Five multidrug resistance patterns were observed. One isolate tested positive for class 1 integron which carried a single gene of dfrA7.
