Rapid, Sensitive, Specific, and Visual Detection of Salmonella in Retail Meat with Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification, Targeting the invA Gene

What is it about?

The developed LAMP assay was rapid, strongly specific, highly sensitive and visual for Salmonella detection. Meanwhile，in this study the LAMP assay was 1000-fold more sensitive than the conventional PCR method. In the parallel detection on the retail meat samples, the positive rate of Salmonella by the developed LAMP assay was highly coincident with the routine China national standard method.
