This study assessed work-space and work-method designs, the level of compliance with recommended standards and the effects on workers’ occupational health and safety in Nigeria automobile service industry.

The research provided answers to questions relating to: 1. the level of prevalence is job related injuries among the group of workers. 2. the risk factors contributing to the prevailing disorder(s) 3. weather the common work-space and work-station designs complied with the recommended international standard(s)? 4. measure(s) adopted by workers and managers in handling work related injuries?

Perspectives

The study provided a view into the status of automobile service industry in Nigeria with respect to the level of human factors' considerations of its workforce.
