What is it about?
Throughout history, from the time of the ancient Greeks to the present, thinkers have tried to define knowledge, but its origin is still a matter of controversial debates between different positions (Innatism, rationalism, empiricism and Kant’s theory). In the present paper I present a new convincing theory that resolves, for the first time, the enigma of the origin and the mechanism of formation of knowledge. Supported by evidence and substantial arguments derived from the latest scientific findings, this theory represents a new concept of the process of knowledge formation that I call ‘The dynamic mixed origin of knowledge’ or ‘The deepest remembering process’. According to it, the formation of knowledge occurs thanks to our mental abilities through a complex dynamic network of reciprocal interconnections involving (1) extrinsic inputs, (2) what is stored in our conscious and/or in our unconscious and (3) genetic factors. Furthermore, this theory shows how this mechanism of knowledge formation represents a particular remembering process deeper than the known remembering ones

Why is it important?
After the view of Immanuel Kant (1724-1804) on knowledge origin, no new positions or theories were provided until now. In the present paper I present a new convincing theory that resolves, for the first time, the enigma of the origin and the mechanism of formation of knowledge.
Perspectives
The theory of German philosopher Immanuel Kant (1724-1804) represents a turning point in the preliminary diagnosis of the origin of knowledge. My present theory (Chaabani’s theory 2024) in a general concordance with it, comes to reveal all unclear points on the basis of evidence and substantial arguments derived from the latest scientific findings, and presents for the first time the material origin and the mechanism of formation of the knowledge.
