What is it about?
The importance of leafy vegetables in human nutrition cannot be over emphasized, vegetables can also be the sources of heavy metals consumed by humans. We have shown that some leafy vegetables can absorbed heavy metals in concentrations that are detrimental to human.

Why is it important?
The environments most vegetables are grown especially in developing countries are polluted by heavy metals. Our research shows absorption of some of the heavy metals by the vegetables
Perspectives
We hope that this article would be used to sensitize communities in developing countries on dangers of growing vegetables in polluted soils
