What is it about?

Producing micro-herero structures for fission products self cleaning nuclear reactor fuel is important to produce near perfect burning of Uranium resources and other actinides, and engineering nano-clustered- hetero-structures may accelerate the separation of nuclear transmutation products as 233U, 238Np, 238Pu, 239Pu, etc. producing high purity materials with no aggressive chemistry, as U-rex or Pu-rex processes, only relying on nano-cluster enhanced separation process.

Why is it important?

It produces new generations of nuclear reactors, and improves nuclear fuel cycle, reducing the need for uranium enrichment, as well produces high purity isotopes for strategic importance in nuclear medicine, industry and nuclear power.

Perspectives

Developing the materials from TRL=3.5 to TRL=10 and creation of the generation 5 and 6 of nuclear reactors to assure the mankind needed energy, at the actual levels for about 10,000 years.
