Why is it important?

With long-term use of 0.005% latanoprost (over 4 months), the IOP tended to remain suppressed to a low level. Topical application of 0.005% latanoprost controlled IOP long-term in 43.8% of dogs with primary glaucoma. The remaining dogs had either no response to this treatment, or showed a temporary decrease in IOP.
