What is it about?

This study highlight the prevalence of infection that get transferred from blood donors to the recipient. Implementation of use of sensitive screening tests, public awareness will help to reduce seroprevalence of transfusion transmitted infections

Why is it important?

We in this study emphasizeed that though the prevalence of transfusion transmitted infections is declining, adopting the newer methods of donor screening will save the time ,manpower and economy also and assure safe transfusion

Perspectives

The present study conclude that collecting blood from donor and carrying out the tests later is not sufficient but there is need to review the screening policies to offer quality health care.
