What is it about?

Mycophenolate mofetil is widely used in organ transplantation to prevent acute rejection. Effectiveness and the incidence of rejection is influenced by area under the concentration–time curve (AUC). Effect of time after transplantations on pharmacokinetic (PK) parameters is considered.

Why is it important?

The differences between PK parameters in these groups may be related to the length of time after transplantation and this must be considered in dose adjustment, probably decreasing the dose after few months to half and these may be performed in a proper clinical trial design.

Perspectives

I like to do a population pharmacokinetic study to improve the results and interpreting the covariates. It's also nice if we can design this stud in a group at two these two times.
