Why is it important?

This is the first research in Italy which aims to collect and join testimonies from the three main stakeholders living the care plan for GHD: children and adolescents, their parents and their care teams.

Perspectives

As researcher expert in the use of Narrative Medicine approach, I can confirm how narratives, if collected and analised with the appropriate methods, can contribute to obtain important organitational and relational indications to improve the offered services of care. In this research, in particular, the real and often hidden needs of adolescents living the treatment for GHD emerge in a clear way, together with the deep doubts, fears and values of their parents.
