What is it about?

Drug metabolite which exposes human more than 10% of total drug-related exposure is considered important. Analysis of metabolite is sometimes imprecise relative to parent drug. Thus, confidence interval calculated from accuracy / precision of the analytical method can be useful in determining the importance of the metabolite.

Why is it important?

By using this approach, we do not have to stick to pre-defined accuracy / precision criteria of the analytical methods. This allows flexible research activity in studying drug metabolites.

Perspectives

Interestingly, finding is that accuracy is more important than precision in this context.
