What is it about?
The COVID-19 pandemic significantly disrupted many consulting service businesses, reducing demand and changing how services are delivered. As companies begin to recover, they need clear policies and strategies to improve their performance and remain competitive. This study examines how consultant service policies can help businesses adapt and grow after the pandemic. Using interviews, observations, and document analysis, the research identifies key internal and external challenges faced by consulting service companies. The findings show that while internal resources are relatively strong, external conditions such as market competition and changing client needs remain challenging. The study highlights practical strategies—such as improving service quality, expanding market reach, and developing new service offerings—that can help consulting firms improve business performance in the post-COVID period.

Why is it important?
This study is unique because it focuses on the role of consultant service policies in improving business performance during the recovery period after the COVID-19 pandemic. Rather than examining business recovery in general, the research looks specifically at how consulting firms can adjust their internal policies and service strategies to respond to new market conditions created by the pandemic. The study is especially timely because many consulting and professional service businesses are still adapting to changes in client behavior, digital service delivery, and increased competition after COVID-19. As organizations seek guidance to rebuild and grow, consulting firms must also strengthen their own performance to remain relevant. This research provides timely insights into the strategies that consulting service companies can adopt in this new environment. The findings can make a practical difference by helping consulting firms design more effective policies, improve service quality, and better meet client needs in the post-pandemic era. For readers, the study offers useful lessons on business recovery, service innovation, and strategic adaptation, making it relevant for practitioners, policymakers, and researchers alike.
Perspectives
From my personal perspective, this publication reflects my interest in understanding how consulting service businesses can remain resilient in times of crisis and recovery. During and after the COVID-19 pandemic, I observed that many consulting firms faced significant uncertainty, not only in maintaining their performance but also in redefining how they deliver value to clients. This research provided an opportunity to explore those challenges in a structured and evidence-based way. What I find most valuable about this study is its practical focus. The findings highlight that business recovery is not only about external market conditions but also about internal policy choices and service strategies. I hope this work encourages consulting firms and business practitioners to rethink their service models, invest in innovation, and strengthen their strategic direction in response to post-pandemic changes. On a personal level, I see this publication as a contribution to ongoing discussions about organizational adaptability and resilience. I hope it helps bridge academic research and real-world business practice, particularly for service-based organizations navigating uncertainty in a post-COVID environment.
