Why is it important?
There are many factors in Iraq that directly and indirectly affected the number, type and frequency of regional road agreements and depended on the temporal and spatial overlap of these factors because Iraq is one of the countries that suffer from security, political and economic challenges. Therefore, the second objective of the current study was to discuss some of these dramatic, accelerating and unexpected factors such as the security breach by terrorist Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) gangs to several provinces in northern Iraq,[7] the health crisis represented by the corona epidemic[8] and the October protests that led to the change of the Council of Ministers and the disruption of state affairs.[9] All these events took place during the study, and their impact was clear on the level of services provided to Iraqi society and was negatively reflected on the traffic reality in all its aspects
Perspectives
There is -indeed- an underreporting of road traffic accidents casualties in many countries including Iraq. There is a significant differences between the data registered by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Interior.
